President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to President Klaus Iohannis and all the people of Romania on national day – the 103rd anniversary of Great Union Day.

“This year marks the 30th anniversary of reestablished diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Romania. During these years, we have developed friendly bilateral relations, joined the European Union and NATO. Today we are strong allies and partners that can address political, security and economic issues together,” Gitanas Nausėda wrote in his message of congratulations.

The President thanked Romania for its consistent support in ensuring regional security and its significant contribution to the strategic direction of the Eastern Partnership policy.

Gitanas Nausėda wished the President and the people of Romania good health and continued success.
