The President congratulated Albania on Independence Day

The President‘s Communication Group

President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to President Ilir Meta of Albania on Independence Day.

The President underlined that he highly appreciated cooperation between the two countries within NATO as well as Albania’s solidarity in contributing to the security of the Baltic States’ region.

Gitanas Nausėda expressed strong support to Albania’s aspirations for eurointegration.

He thanked the President of Albania for his country’s attention to the ongoing processes in Europe’s Eastern Neighborhood during Albania’s chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

“Congratulations to Albania on being elected for the first time in its history as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2022-2023. I welcome this achievement and sincerely wish your country every success in delivering all its goals and objectives as it contributes to reinforcing international security and stability,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.

Gitanas Nausėda wished the people of Albania continued strength and prosperity.
